s 9 Report on status of investigation
(1) Any person who has given information to the Agency under any federal law may request for a report on the status of the investigation of the offence complained of in his information from the Agency.
(2) The Agency shall give a status report on the investigation of such offence to the informant not later than two weeks from the receipt of the request made under subsection (1).
(3) Notwithstanding subsection (2), the Agency shall not be required to provide a status report on an investigation of an offence—
(a) unless the offence complained of is a seizable offence;
(b) unless a period of four weeks has lapsed from the date of the giving of the information; and
(c) which contains any matter that is likely to adversely affect the investigation into the offence or the prosecution of the offence.
(4) Where a request has been made under subsection (1) and the Agency has failed to furnish the informant with a status report within the period specified in subsection (2), but subject to subsection (3), the informant may make a report to the Public Prosecutor of the failure.
(5) Upon receipt of the report under subsection (4), the Public Prosecutor shall direct the Agency to furnish him with a detailed status report on the investigation that has been conducted by the Agency in relation to the offence in the information given by the informant.
(6) The Public Prosecutor shall cause to be furnished to the informant, or direct the Agency to furnish to the informant, a status
report containing such information as may be directed by the Public Prosecutor.
(7) Any officer of the Agency who fails to comply with a directive of the Public Prosecutor under this section commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to both.

Laporan status penyiasatan
(1) Mana-mana orang yang telah memberikan maklumat kepada Agensi di bawah mana-mana undang-undang persekutuan boleh

meminta suatu laporan tentang status penyiasatan kesalahan yang diadukan dalam maklumatnya itu daripada Agensi.
(2) Agensi hendaklah memberikan laporan status berkenaan dengan penyiasatan kesalahan itu kepada pemberi maklumat tidak lewat daripada dua minggu dari penerimaan permintaan itu yang dibuat di bawah subseksyen (1).
(3) Walau apa pun subseksyen (2), Agensi tidaklah dikehendaki memberikan laporan status tentang penyiasatan sesuatu kesalahan—
(a) melainkan jika kesalahan yang diadukan itu merupakan kesalahan boleh tangkap;
(b) melainkan jika tempoh empat minggu telah luput dari tarikh pemberian maklumat itu; dan
(c) yang mengandungi apa-apa perkara yang mungkin akan memudaratkan penyiasatan kesalahan itu atau pendakwaan kesalahan itu.
(4) Jika suatu permintaan telah dibuat di bawah subseksyen
(1) dan Agensi telah gagal untuk memberikan laporan status kepada pemberi maklumat dalam tempoh yang dinyatakan dalam subseksyen (2), tetapi tertakluk kepada subseksyen (3), pemberi maklumat itu boleh membuat laporan kepada Pendakwa Raya tentang kegagalan itu.
(5) Apabila menerima laporan di bawah subseksyen (4), Pendakwa Raya hendaklah mengarahkan Agensi supaya memberinya suatu laporan status yang terperinci tentang penyiasatan yang telah dijalankan oleh Agensi berhubung dengan kesalahan dalam maklumat yang diberikan oleh pemberi maklumat.
(6) Pendakwa Raya hendaklah menyebabkan supaya diberikan kepada pemberi maklumat, atau mengarahkan Agensi supaya memberi pemberi maklumat, suatu laporan status yang mengandungi apa-apa maklumat sebagaimana yang diarahkan oleh Pendakwa Raya.
(7) Mana-mana pegawai Agensi yang tidak mematuhi arahan Pendakwa Raya di bawah seksyen ini melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila disabitkan boleh dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi satu bulan atau didenda tidak melebihi satu ribu ringgit atau kedua-duanya.
