s 19 Alternate member
(1) The Minister may appoint a person to be an alternate member in respect of each of the members of the Board appointed under paragraphs 16(2)(f) and (g) to attend meetings of the Board in place of the member when the member is for any reason unable to attend.
(2) When attending meetings of the Board in place of a member an alternate member shall for all purposes be deemed to be a member of the Board.
(3) An alternate member shall cease to be such member if the member for whom he is an alternate member ceases to be a member.

Anggota silih ganti
(1) Menteri boleh melantik seorang anggota silih ganti berkenaan dengan setiap anggota Lembaga yang dilantik di bawah perenggan 16(2)(f) dan (g) untuk menghadiri mesyuarat Lembaga sebagai ganti anggota itu bila anggota itu tidak dapat hadir atas apa-apa sebab.
(2) Apabila menghadiri mesyuarat Lembaga sebagai ganti seseorang anggota, seorang anggota silih ganti hendaklah bagi segala maksud disifatkan sebagai anggota Lembaga.
(3) Anggota silih ganti hendaklah terhenti menjadi anggota sedemikian jika anggota yang ianya sebagai anggota silih ganti berhenti menjadi anggota.
