A person who tampers with a meter or sub-meter or causes the tampering of a meter or sub-meter used for the measurement of water supplied to any premises in such a manner so as to cause the meter or sub-meter to show incorrect readings commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

Mengganggu meter atau submeter
Seseorang yang mengganggu suatu meter atau submeter atau menyebabkan gangguan kepada suatu meter atau submeter yang digunakan bagi menyukat air yang dibekalkan ke mana-mana premis dengan suatu cara yang menyebabkan meter atau submeter itu menunjukkan bacaan yang tidak betul melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi lima puluh ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi enam bulan atau kedua-duanya.
