s 39 Supply of water through public pipes
(1) A water distribution licensee shall, on the request of the Commission after consultation with the relevant local authority, supply water to a designated area for use by members of the public through public pipes installed within such designated area.
(2) Such supply shall be subject to such terms and conditions as the water distribution licensee and the Commission, in consultation with the local authority, may mutually agree provided that the charges for the supply of such water shall be approved by the Commission.

Pembekalan air melalui paip awam
(1) Pemegang lesen pengagihan air hendaklah, atas permintaan Suruhanjaya selepas berunding dengan pihak berkuasa tempatan yang berkaitan, membekalkan air ke suatu kawasan yang dinyatakan untuk kegunaan orang awam melalui paip awam yang dipasang di dalam kawasan yang dinyatakan itu.
(2) Pembekalan sedemikian hendaklah tertakluk kepada apaapa terma dan syarat yang dipersetujui bersama oleh pemegang lesen pengagihan air dan Suruhanjaya, dengan merundingi pihak berkuasa tempatan itu, dengan syarat bahawa caj bagi pembekalan air itu hendaklah diluluskan oleh Suruhanjaya.
