s 84 Regulations regarding rates, charges and deposits
(1) The Minister may, on the recommendation of the Commission, make regulations to prescribe the level of rates to be charged for the water supply services and sewerage services.
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), regulations may be made—
(a) to prescribe the rates for water supply services and sewerage services including bulk water supply;
(b) to prescribe the different levels of rates for water supply services and sewerage services based on category of users, consumption, type of use and geographical location or in such other manner as the Commission deems appropriate;
(c) to prescribe the connection, reconnection or any other charges, and deposits, relating to the water supply services and sewerage services;
(d) to provide for the publication or disclosure of rates for water supply services and sewerage services; or
(e) to prescribe the billing and charging rates through meters and sub-meters for buildings.

Peraturan-peraturan mengenai kadar, caj dan deposit
(1) Menteri boleh, atas syor Suruhanjaya, membuat peraturanperaturan untuk menetapkan aras kadar yang hendak dicajkan bagi perkhidmatan bekalan air dan perkhidmatan pembetungan.
(2) Tanpa menjejaskan keluasan subseksyen (1), peraturan-peraturan boleh dibuat—
(a) untuk menetapkan kadar perkhidmatan bekalan air dan perkhidmatan pembetungan termasuk pembekalan air secara pukal;
(b) untuk menetapkan aras kadar yang berlainan bagi perkhidmatan bekalan air dan perkhidmatan pembetungan berdasarkan kategori pengguna, jumlah penggunaan, jenis penggunaan dan lokasi geografi atau mengikut apa-apa cara lain yang disifatkan sesuai oleh Suruhanjaya;
(c) untuk menetapkan caj penyambungan, penyambungan semula atau apa-apa caj lain, dan deposit, yang berhubungan dengan perkhidmatan bekalan air dan perkhidmatan pembetungan;
(d) untuk memperuntukkan bagi penyiaran atau penzahiran kadar bagi perkhidmatan bekalan air dan perkhidmatan pembetungan; atau
(e) untuk menetapkan kadar pengebilan dan caj melalui meter dan submeter bagi bangunan.
