s 22 Provisional safeguard measure
(1) The Government may apply a provisional safeguard measure with regard to the product under investigation imported into Malaysia on or after the publication of the notice of affirmative preliminary determination where the Government determines that such measure is necessary to prevent the injury referred to in subsections 8(1) and 9(1) from occurring during the period of investigation.
(2) A provisional safeguard measure shall take the form of provisional safeguard duties guaranteed by a bond or security equal to the amount determined by the Government.
(3) The provisional safeguard measure imposed under this section shall not exceed two hundred days.
(4) If the subsequent investigation does not result in a determination that increased imports have caused or threaten to cause serious injury to the domestic industry, any bond or security shall be promptly released.
(5) The collection of any provisional safeguard duties imposed under this Act shall be conducted by an officer of customs.

Langkah perlindungan sementara
(1) Kerajaan boleh mengenakan suatu langkah perlindungan sementara berhubung dengan keluaran yang disiasat yang diimport ke dalam Malaysia pada atau selepas penyiaran notis penentuan awal afirmatif jika Kerajaan menentukan bahawa langkah itu adalah perlu untuk mencegah kemudaratan yang disebut dalam subseksyen 8(1) dan 9(1) daripada berlaku ketika dalam tempoh penyiasatan.
(2) Suatu langkah perlindungan sementara hendaklah dalam bentuk duti jaminan sementara yang dijamin dengan suatu bon atau jaminan yang sama dengan amaun yang ditentukan oleh Kerajaan.
(3) Langkah perlindungan sementara yang dikenakan di bawah seksyen ini tidak boleh melebihi dua ratus hari.
(4) Jika penyiasatan seterusnya tidak mendapati bahawa suatu penentuan yang peningkatan import telah menyebabkan atau mengancam untuk menyebabkan kemudaratan yang serius kepada industri dalam negeri, apa-apa bon atau jaminan hendaklah dikembalikan segera.
(5) Pungutan apa-apa duti pelindung sementara yang dikenakan di bawah Akta ini hendaklah dijalankan oleh seorang pegawai kastam.
