s 124 Transitional provisions
(1) All applications for registration as a youth society and all applications for approval by such society under the Societies Act 1966 which are pending on the date of coming into force of this Act shall, on that date, cease to be dealt with under that Act and shall be dealt with under the provisions of this Act.
(2) Any proceedings or cause of action pending or existing immediately before the date of coming into force of this Act under the Societies Act 1966 may be continued or instituted under that Act as if this Act had not been enacted.
(3) This Act does not affect any person’s liability to be prosecuted or punished for offences committed under the Societies Act 1966 before the date of coming into force of this Act, or any proceedings brought or sentence imposed before that date in respect of such offence.
(4) Any member appointed or elected as an office-bearer in a youth society who has attained the age of forty or has exceeded the age of forty before the commencement of this Act, shall be permitted to hold his office until the end of his term.

Peruntukan peralihan
(1) Semua permohonan untuk pendaftaran sebagai pertubuhan belia dan semua permohonan untuk kelulusan oleh pertubuhan sedemikian di bawah Akta Pertubuhan 1966 yang belum selesai pada tarikh mula berkuatkuasanya Akta ini hendaklah, pada tarikh itu, terhenti diuruskan di bawah Akta itu dan hendaklah diuruskan di bawah peruntukan Akta ini.
(2) Apa-apa prosiding atau kausa tindakan yang belum selesai atau yang wujud sebaik sebelum tarikh mula berkuatkuasanya Akta ini di bawah Akta Pertubuhan 1966 boleh diteruskan atau dimulakan di bawah Akta itu seolah-olah Akta ini telah tidak diperbuat.
(3) Akta ini tidak menjejaskan liabiliti mana-mana orang untuk didakwa atau dihukum bagi kesalahan yang dilakukan di bawah Akta Pertubuhan 1966 sebelum tarikh mula berkuatkuasanya Akta ini, atau apa-apa prosiding yang dibawa atau hukuman yang dikenakan sebelum tarikh itu berkenaan dengan kesalahan itu.
(4) Mana-mana anggota yang dilantik atau dipilih sebagai pemegang jawatan dalam pertubuhan belia yang telah mencapai empat puluh tahun atau telah melebihi umur empat puluh tahun sebelum tarikh kuat kuasa Akta ini, hendaklah dibenarkan terus memegang jawatannya sehingga tamat tempohnya.
