s 45 Person in temporary custody in need of medical examination or treatment
(1) Where an enforcement officer who takes a person into temporary custody under subsection 44(1) is of the opinion that the person is in need of medical examination or treatment, the enforcement officer may, instead of taking that person before a Magistrate, present him to a medical officer.
(2) If at the time of being taken into temporary custody, the person is a patient in a hospital, the enforcement officer may leave that person in the hospital.

Orang dalam jagaan sementara yang memerlukan pemeriksaan atau rawatan perubatan
(1) Jika seseorang pegawai penguat kuasa yang mengambil seseorang ke dalam jagaan sementara di bawah subseksyen 44(1) berpendapat bahawa orang itu memerlukan pemeriksaan atau rawatan perubatan, pegawai penguat kuasa boleh, daripada mengemukakan orang itu ke hadapan Majistret, membawanya kepada pegawai perubatan.
(2) Jika pada masa diambil ke dalam jagaan sementara, orang itu adalah pesakit di dalam hospital, pegawai penguat kuasa boleh meninggalkan orang itu di hospital itu.
