s 30 Access to information, communication and technology

(1) Persons with disabilities shall have the right to access to information, communication and technology on equal basis with persons without disabilities. Act 685 BI 24 1/25/08 8:56:49 AM (2) The Government and the provider of information, communication and technology shall in order to enable persons with disabilities to have such access, provide the information, communication and technology in accessible formats and technologies appropriate to different kind of disabilities in a timely manner and without additional cost. (3) The Government and the private sector shall accept and facilitate the use of Malaysia Sign Language, Braille, augmentative and alternative communication, and all other accessible means, modes and formats of communication of their choice by persons with disabilities in official transactions.

Akses kepada maklumat, komunikasi dan teknologi

(1) Orang kurang upaya hendaklah mempunyai hak untuk akses kepada maklumat, komunikasi dan teknologi atas asas kesetaraan dengan orang upaya. (2) Kerajaan dan penyedia maklumat, komunikasi dan teknologi hendaklah, bagi membolehkan orang kurang upaya mempunyai akses sedemikian, menyediakan maklumat, komunikasi dan teknologi dalam format dan teknologi boleh akses bersesuaian dengan pelbagai jenis ketidakupayaan mengikut cara yang tepat pada masanya dan tanpa kos tambahan. (3) Kerajaan dan sektor swasta hendaklah menerima dan memudahkan penggunaan Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia, Braille, komunikasi augmentatif dan alternatif, dan semua cara, kaedah dan format komunikasi boleh akses pilihan orang kurang upaya dalam urusan rasmi.
