East Coast Economic Region Development Council Act 2008 s 12
s 12 Council may establish committees
(1) The Council may establish such committees as the Council considers necessary or expedient to assist it in the performance of its functions and carrying out of its powers under this Act.
(2) The Council may elect any of its members to be the chairman of any committee.
(3) The Council may appoint any person to be a member of any committee.
(4) Membership of a committee may include one or more individuals from the private sector.
(5) The provisions of the Second Schedule shall apply to a committee.
(6) The Council may, from time to time, by order published in the Gazette, amend the Second Schedule relating to a committee.

Majlis boleh menubuhkan jawatankuasa
(1) Majlis boleh menubuhkan apa-apa jawatankuasa yang difikirkan perlu atau suai manfaat oleh Majlis bagi membantu Majlis melaksanakan fungsinya dan menjalankan kuasanya di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Majlis boleh memilih mana-mana anggotanya untuk menjadi pengerusi mana-mana jawatankuasa.
(3) Majlis boleh melantik mana-mana orang untuk menjadi anggota mana-mana jawatankuasa.
(4) Keanggotaan sesuatu jawatankuasa boleh termasuk seorang individu atau lebih daripada sektor swasta.
(5) Peruntukan Jadual Kedua hendaklah terpakai bagi sesuatu jawatankuasa.
(6) Majlis boleh, dari semasa ke semasa, melalui perintah yang disiarkan dalam Warta, meminda Jadual Kedua berhubung dengan sesuatu jawatankuasa.
