East Coast Economic Region Development Council Act 2008 s 50
s 50 Protection against suits and legal proceedings
No action, suit, prosecution or other proceedings shall lie or be brought, instituted or maintained in any court against—
(a) the Chairman;
(b) the Council;
(c) any member of the Council, any member of the Implementation and Coordination Committees, or any member of a committee;
(d) the Chief Executive, any officer or servant of the Council; or
(e) an agent of the Council or any other person lawfully acting on behalf of the Council,
in respect of any act, neglect, default or omission done by him or it in good faith in carrying out his or its powers, functions and responsibilities under this Act in such capacity.

Perlindungan terhadap tindakan guaman dan prosiding undang-undang
Tiada tindakan guaman, pendakwaan atau prosiding lain boleh diambil atau dibawa, dimulakan atau dibuat dalam mana-mana mahkamah terhadap—
(a) Pengerusi;
(b) Majlis;
(c) mana-mana anggota Majlis, mana-mana anggota Jawatankuasa Pelaksanaan dan Penyelarasan, atau manamana anggota jawatankuasa;
(d) Ketua Eksekutif, mana-mana pegawai atau pekhidmat Majlis; atau
(e) seseorang ejen Majlis atau mana-mana orang lain yang bertindak dengan sah bagi pihak Majlis,
berkenaan dengan apa-apa perbuatan, keabaian, keingkaran atau peninggalan yang dilakukan olehnya dengan suci hati dalam melaksanakan kuasa, fungsi dan tanggungjawabnya di bawah Akta ini atas sifat yang sedemikian.
