East Coast Economic Region Development Council Act 2008 s 49

s 49 Power to employ profesionals

(1) The Council may employ, appoint and pay agents, contractors and technical advisers, including advocates and solicitors, bankers, surveyors, valuers and other persons, to transact any business, and carry out any project, scheme or enterprise. (2) No person shall be eligible for employment pursuant to subsection (1) if he has, directly or indirectly, by himself or through any person or third party, any share or interest in any contract or proposed contract with, for or on behalf of the Council.

Kuasa untuk mengambil khidmat profesional

(1) Majlis boleh mengambil khidmat, melantik dan membayar ejen, kontraktor dan penasihat teknikal, termasuk peguam bela dan peguam cara, jurubank, juruukur, penilai dan orang lain, untuk menjalankan apa-apa urusan, dan menjalankan apa-apa projek, skim atau perusahaan. (2) Tiada seorang pun layak untuk diambil khidmat menurut subseksyen (1) jika dia mempunyai, secara langsung atau tidak langsung, dengan sendiri atau menerusi mana-mana orang atau pihak ketiga, apa-apa bahagian atau kepentingan dalam mana-mana kontrak atau kontrak yang dicadangkan dengan, untuk atau bagi pihak Majlis.
