(1) Notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, a person shall provide to the Director General, on the Director General’s request, any statement, record, other document or other form of assistance that may assist the Director General in performing his functions under this Act.
(2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
(3) Notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, no proceedings or action shall be taken against a person who acts in compliance with subsection (1).

Kewajipan untuk memberikan bantuan
(1) Walau apa pun mana-mana undang-undang bertulis yang berlawanan, seseorang hendaklah memberikan kepada Ketua Pengarah, atas permintaan Ketua Pengarah, apa-apa pernyataan, rekod, dokumen lain atau bentuk bantuan lain yang boleh membantu Ketua Pengarah dalam melaksanakan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi tiga ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi enam bulan atau kedua-duanya.
(3) Walau apa pun mana-mana undang-undang bertulis yang berlawanan, tiada prosiding atau tindakan boleh diambil terhadap seseorang yang bertindak dengan mematuhi subseksyen (1).
