s 71 Functions of Advisory Committee

(1) The functions of the Advisory Committee shall be— (a) to advise the Commissioner on all matters relating to personal data protection, and the due administration and enforcement of this Act; and (b) to advise the Commissioner on any matter referred by him to the Advisory Committee. (2) The Commissioner shall not be bound to act upon the advice of the Advisory Committee.

Fungsi Jawatankuasa Penasihat

(1) Fungsi Jawatankuasa Penasihat adalah— (a) untuk menasihati Pesuruhjaya mengenai segala perkara yang berhubungan dengan perlindungan data peribadi, dan pentadbiran dan penguatkuasaan sewajarnya Akta ini; dan (b) untuk menasihati Pesuruhjaya mengenai apa-apa perkara yang dirujukkan olehnya kepada Jawatankuasa Penasihat. (2) Pesuruhjaya tidak terikat untuk bertindak atas nasihat Jawatankuasa Penasihat.
