s 58 Power of arrest
(1) An authorized officer or police officer may arrest without warrant any person whom he reasonably believes has committed or is attempting to commit an offence under this Act.
(2) An authorized officer making an arrest under subsection (1) shall without unnecessary delay make over the person so arrested to the nearest police officer or, in the absence of a police officer, take such person to the nearest police station, and thereafter the person shall be dealt with as is provided for by the law relating to criminal procedure for the time being in force as if he had been arrested by a police officer.

Kuasa menangkap
(1) Seorang pegawai diberi kuasa atau pegawai polis boleh menangkap tanpa waran mana-mana orang yang dia percaya dengan munasabah telah melakukan atau cuba melakukan sesuatu kesalahan di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Seorang pegawai diberi kuasa yang membuat tangkapan di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah tanpa kelengahan yang tidak perlu menyerahkan orang yang ditangkap sedemikian kepada pegawai polis yang paling hampir atau, jika tiada pegawai polis, membawa orang itu
ke balai polis yang paling hampir, dan selepas itu orang itu hendaklah diperlakukan sebagaimana yang diperuntukkan oleh undang-undang yang berhubungan dengan tatacara jenayah yang sedang berkuat kuasa seolah-olah dia ditangkap oleh seorang pegawai polis.
