s 45 Appointment of legal advisor
(1) The Council or the Disciplinary Committee may appoint a legal advisor to assist the Council or the Disciplinary Committee during any inquiry touching on a disciplinary matter.
(2) The Council or the Disciplinary Committee may appoint any person who is and has been an advocate and solicitor for a period of not less than five years to advise it on—
(a) all questions of law ensuing in the course of the inquiry; and
(b) the meaning and construction of all documents procured during the inquiry.

Pelantikan penasihat undang-undang
(1) Majlis atau Jawatankuasa Tatatertib boleh melantik seorang penasihat undang-undang untuk membantu Majlis atau Jawatankuasa Tatatertib semasa apa-apa siasatan yang menyentuh perkara tatatertib.
(2) Majlis atau Jawatankuasa Tatatertib boleh melantik manamana orang yang merupakan dan telah menjadi peguam bela dan peguam cara bagi suatu tempoh yang tidak kurang daripada lima tahun untuk menasihatinya tentang—
(a) semua persoalan undang-undang yang berbangkit semasa siasatan; dan
(b) pengertian dan pentafsiran semua dokumen yang diperoleh semasa siasatan.
