(1) The Minister may, if he considers it consistent with the purposes of this Act or in the interest of public health and safety, by order published in the Gazette, exempt any person or medical device from any of the provisions of this Act or any regulations made under this Act for such duration and subject to such conditions as the Minister may specify and he may alter or add the conditions so specified.
(2) The Minister may, at any time, by order published in the Gazette, revoke any order made under subsection (1) if he is satisfied that such exemption should no longer be granted.

Kuasa untuk mengecualikan
(1) Menteri boleh, jika didapatinya selaras dengan maksud Akta ini atau demi kepentingan kesihatan dan keselamatan awam, melalui perintah yang disiarkan dalam Warta, mengecualikan mana-mana orang atau peranti perubatan daripada mana-mana peruntukan Akta ini atau mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini bagi apa-apa tempoh dan tertakluk kepada apa-apa syarat yang ditentukan oleh Menteri dan Menteri boleh mengubah atau menambah syarat-syarat yang ditentukan sedemikian.
(2) Menteri boleh, pada bila-bila masa, melalui perintah yang disiarkan dalam Warta, membatalkan mana-mana perintah yang dibuat di bawah subseksyen (1) jika dia berpuas hati bahawa pengecualian itu tidak lagi diperlukan.
