s 4 Appointment of Director General, Deputy Director General and other officers
(1) The Minister may appoint, from among the members of the public service, a Director General of RELA who shall be subject to the control and direction of the Minister.

(2) The Minister may appoint, from among the members of the public service, such number of Deputies Director General of RELA and such other officers as may be necessary for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this Act.
(3) All officers appointed under subsection (2) and members of RELA enrolled under this Act shall be subject to the command, control and direction of the Director General.
(4) The Director General may in writing, subject to such conditions, limitations or restrictions as he thinks fit to impose, delegate all or any of his powers or functions under this Act to a Deputy Director General of RELA or to an officer of RELA.

Pelantikan Ketua Pengarah, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah dan pegawai lain
(1) Menteri boleh melantik, daripada kalangan anggota perkhidmatan awam, seorang Ketua Pengarah RELA yang hendaklah tertakluk kepada kawalan dan arahan Menteri.

(2) Menteri boleh melantik, daripada kalangan anggota perkhidmatan awam, apa-apa bilangan Timbalan Ketua Pengarah RELA dan pegawai lain sebagaimana yang perlu bagi maksud melaksanakan peruntukan Akta ini.
(3) Semua pegawai yang dilantik di bawah subseksyen (2) dan anggota RELA yang didaftarkan di bawah Akta ini adalah tertakluk kepada perintah, kawalan dan arahan Ketua Pengarah.
(4) Ketua Pengarah boleh secara bertulis, tertakluk kepada apa-apa syarat, batasan atau sekatan yang difikirkannya patut dikenakan, mewakilkan segala atau mana-mana kuasa atau fungsinya di bawah Akta ini kepada Timbalan Ketua Pengarah RELA atau kepada pegawai RELA.
