s 6 Request for surrender of foreign travel documents

(1) On a request by the Inspector General of Police, the Minister may order the surrender of a person’s foreign travel documents for fourteen days if the Minister is satisfied that— (a) the person may leave Malaysia to engage in the commission or support of terrorist acts involving listed terrorist organizations in a foreign country or any part of a foreign country; and (b) the surrender of the person’s foreign travel documents is necessary to prevent the person from carrying out such acts. (2) The Inspector General of Police may make a request under subsection (1) if the Inspector General of Police— (a) suspects that the person may leave Malaysia to engage in the commission or support of terrorist acts involving listed terrorist organizations in a foreign country or any part of a foreign country; and (b) believes that the surrender of the person’s foreign travel documents is necessary to prevent the person from carrying out such acts. (3) If the Minister has made an order under subsection (1), a subsequent request under this section in relation to the same person shall not be made unless the Inspector General of Police provides additional information to support the request.

Permintaan bagi penyerahan dokumen perjalanan asing

(1) Atas permintaan Ketua Polis Negara, Menteri boleh memerintahkan penyerahan dokumen perjalanan asing seseorang untuk empat belas hari jika Menteri berpuas hati bahawa— (a) orang itu mungkin meninggalkan Malaysia untuk terlibat dengan perbuatan melakukan atau menyokong perbuatan keganasan yang melibatkan organisasi pengganas tersenarai di sesuatu negara asing atau di mana-mana bahagian sesuatu negara asing; dan (b) penyerahan dokumen perjalanan asing orang itu adalah perlu untuk mencegah orang itu daripada melakukan perbuatan itu. (2) Ketua Polis Negara boleh membuat suatu permintaan di bawah subseksyen (1) jika Ketua Polis Negara— (a) mengesyaki bahawa orang itu mungkin meninggalkan Malaysia untuk terlibat dengan perbuatan melakukan atau menyokong perbuatan keganasan yang melibatkan organisasi pengganas tersenarai di sesuatu negara asing atau di mana-mana bahagian sesuatu negara asing; dan (b) mempercayai bahawa penyerahan dokumen perjalanan asing orang itu adalah perlu untuk mencegah orang itu daripada melakukan perbuatan itu. (3) Jika Menteri telah membuat suatu perintah di bawah subseksyen (1), sesuatu permintaan yang kemudian di bawah seksyen ini berhubung dengan orang yang sama tidak boleh dibuat melainkan jika Ketua Polis Negara mengemukakan maklumat tambahan untuk menyokong permintaan itu.
