s 42 Renewal of licence or permit
(1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), the Commission may, on an application by a licensee or permit holder, renew such person’s licence or permit on such conditions as the Commission thinks fit or refuse the application.
(2) An application for the renewal of a licence or permit under subsection (1) shall be made at least ninety days before the date of expiry of the existing licence or permit, as the case may be, and shall be accompanied by the prescribed renewal fee.
(3) If the applicant fails to comply with subsection (2) and offers no reason which the Commission thinks reasonable, the Commission may refuse to proceed with, hear or determine such application.
(4) Where no application for renewal of a licence or permit has been submitted, the licensee or permit holder shall within fourteen days from the date of expiry of the licence or permit, return the licence or permit, as the case may be, to the Commission.

Pembaharuan lesen atau permit
(1) Tertakluk kepada subseksyen (2) dan (3), Suruhanjaya boleh, atas suatu permohonan oleh pemegang lesen atau pemegang permit, membaharui lesen atau permit orang itu atas apa-apa syarat yang difikirkan patut oleh Suruhanjaya atau menolak permohonan itu.
(2) Suatu permohonan bagi pembaharuan lesen atau permit di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah dibuat sekurang-kurangnya sembilan puluh hari sebelum tarikh tamat lesen atau permit yang sedia ada, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, dan hendaklah disertakan dengan fi pembaharuan yang ditetapkan.
(3) Jika pemohon tidak mematuhi subseksyen (2) dan tidak memberikan apa-apa sebab yang difikirkan munasabah oleh Suruhanjaya, Suruhanjaya boleh menolak untuk meneruskan dengan, mendengar atau menentukan permohonan itu.
(4) Jika tiada permohonan bagi pembaharuan semula sesuatu lesen atau permit dikemukakan, pemegang lesen atau permit hendaklah dalam masa empat belas hari dari tarikh tamat lesen atau permit itu, mengembalikan lesen atau permit itu, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, kepada Suruhanjaya.
