s 83 Power to investigate
The authorized officer shall have the power to conduct an investigation where there is reason to suspect that—
(a) an offence, breach or infringement of any prohibition has been or is being committed;
(b) there was an attempt to commit an offence, breach or infringement of any prohibition; or
(c) there was a conspiracy to commit an offence, breach or infringement of any prohibition,
in relation to this Act or breach of code of conduct under section 15 or consumer code under section 69.

Kuasa untuk menyiasat
Pegawai diberi kuasa hendaklah mempunyai kuasa untuk menjalankan penyiasatan jika terdapat sebab untuk mengesyaki bahawa—
(a) suatu kesalahan, kemungkiran atau pelanggaran manamana larangan telah atau sedang dilakukan;
(b) terdapat percubaan untuk melakukan suatu kesalahan, kemungkiran atau pelanggaran mana-mana larangan; atau
(c) terdapat komplot untuk melakukan suatu kesalahan, kemungkiran atau pelanggaran mana-mana larangan,
berhubung dengan Akta ini atau pelanggaran kod kelakuan di bawah seksyen 15 atau kod pengguna di bawah seksyen 69.
