s 39 Power of investigation
(1) An authorized officer shall have all the powers necessary to carry out an investigation under this Act.
(2) For the avoidance of doubt, it is declared that for the purpose of this Act, an authorized officer shall have all or any of the powers of a police officer of whatever rank in relation to police investigations in seizable cases as provided under the Criminal Procedure Code [Act 593], and all powers shall be in addition to the powers provided for under this Act and not in derogation thereof.

Kuasa penyiasatan
(1) Seseorang pegawai diberi kuasa hendaklah mempunyai segala kuasa yang perlu untuk menjalankan penyiasatan di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Bagi mengelakkan keraguan, adalah diisytiharkan bahawa bagi maksud Akta ini, seorang pegawai diberi kuasa hendaklah mempunyai semua atau mana-mana kuasa seorang pegawai polis dalam apa jua pangkat berhubung dengan penyiasatan polis dalam kes boleh tangkap sebagaimana yang diperuntukkan di bawah Kanun Tatacara Jenayah [Akta 593], dan semua kuasa hendaklah menjadi tambahan kepada kuasa yang diperuntukkan di bawah Akta ini dan tidak mengurangkan kuasanya.
