s 15 Soliciting, receiving, giving, etc., gratification for award
(1) A person by himself, or by or in conjunction with any other person― (a) shall not solicit, receive or agree to receive for himself or for any other person; or Offences relating to Awards (b) shall not give, promise or offer to any person whether for the benefit of that person or of another person, any gratification as a consideration or an inducement or a reward for procuring or assisting or endeavouring to procure the grant of any award to any person in connection with such grant. (2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding twenty years. (3) For the purpose of this section, “award” means the Yang di-Pertuan Agong award or a valid Order, Decoration and Medal instituted by the statutes of a Ruler or Yang di-Pertua Negeri.
