(1) The Director General shall appoint an officer of the Ministry of Health to be the Secretary to the Board.
(2) The Secretary shall be responsible for the following:
(a) the day to day management of the affairs of the Board;
(b) the implementation of the decisions of the Board; and
(c) the carrying out of any other duties as directed by the Board.
(3) The Secretary shall, in carrying out his responsibilities, act under the power and direction of the Board.
(4) The Director General may appoint any officer of the Ministry of Health to assist the Secretary in carrying out his functions.

Setiausaha Lembaga
(1) Ketua Pengarah hendaklah melantik seorang pegawai Kementerian Kesihatan untuk menjadi Setiausaha Lembaga.
(2) Setiausaha hendaklah bertanggungjawab bagi yang berikut:
(a) pengurusan hal ehwal hari ke hari Lembaga;
(b) pelaksanaan keputusan Lembaga; dan
(c) penjalanan apa-apa tugasan lain sebagaimana yang diarahkan oleh Lembaga.
(3) Setiausaha hendaklah, dalam menjalankan tanggungjawabnya, bertindak di bawah kuasa dan arahan Lembaga.
(4) Ketua Pengarah boleh melantik mana-mana pegawai Kementerian Kesihatan untuk membantu Setiausaha dalam menjalankan fungsinya.
