(1) For the purposes of this Act, there shall be—
(a) a Dental Registrar; and
(b) a Dental Therapists Registrar.
(2) The Principal Director shall be Dental Registrar, who shall have the following functions:
(a) the issuance of certificates to dental practitioners; and
(b) the maintenance of the Dental Register, the Dental Temporary Practising Certificate Register and the Conditional Register.
(3) The Head of Profession of Dental Therapists shall be the Dental Therapists Registrar, who shall have the following functions:
(a) the issuance of certificates to dental therapists; and
(b) the maintenance of the Dental Therapists Register and the Dental Therapists Temporary Practising Certificate Register.
(4) The Dental Register, the Dental Therapists Register, the Conditional Register, the Dental Temporary Practising Certificate Register and the Dental Therapists Temporary Practising Certificate Register shall be maintained in both physical and electronic forms as prescribed.

Pendaftar
(1) Bagi maksud Akta ini, hendaklah ada—
(a) seorang Pendaftar Pergigian; dan
(b) seorang Pendaftar Juruterapi Pergigian.
(2) Pengarah Kanan hendaklah menjadi Pendaftar Pergigian, yang hendaklah mempunyai fungsi yang berikut:
(a) pengeluaran perakuan kepada pengamal pergigian; dan
(b) penyenggaraan Daftar Pergigian, Daftar Perakuan Pengamalan Sementara Pergigian dan Daftar Bersyarat.
(3) Ketua Profesion Juruterapi Pergigian hendaklah menjadi Pendaftar Juruterapi Pergigian, yang hendaklah mempunyai fungsi yang berikut:
(a) pengeluaran perakuan kepada juruterapi pergigian; dan
(b) penyenggaraan Daftar Juruterapi Pergigian dan Daftar Perakuan Pengamalan Sementara Juruterapi Pergigian.
(4) Daftar Pergigian, Daftar Juruterapi Pergigian, Daftar Bersyarat, Daftar Perakuan Pengamalan Sementara Pergigian dan Daftar Perakuan Pengamalan Sementara Juruterapi Pergigian hendaklah disenggara dalam kedua-dua bentuk fizikal dan elektronik sebagaimana yang ditetapkan.
