s 66 Obligation of secrecy

(1) Except as provided under section 67, the name, identification card number, passport number and address of an informer, or any other information which can lead to the identity of the informer, and the substance of the information received from an informer shall be kept secret and shall not be disclosed by any officer of service tax or any person who in the ordinary course of his duties comes into possession of, or has control of or access to, the information to any person except the proper officer of service tax. (2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years or to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to both.

Obligasi kerahsiaan

(1) Kecuali sebagaimana yang diperuntukkan di bawah seksyen 67, nama, nombor kad pengenalan, nombor pasport dan alamat pemberi maklumat, atau apa-apa maklumat lain yang boleh membawa kepada identiti pemberi maklumat itu, dan bahan maklumat yang diterima daripada pemberi maklumat hendaklah disimpan rahsia dan tidak boleh dizahirkan oleh mana-mana pegawai cukai perkhidmatan atau mana-mana orang yang dalam penjalanan biasa kewajipannya memiliki, atau mempunyai kawalan ke atas atau akses kepada, maklumat itu kepada mana-mana orang kecuali pegawai cukai perkhidmatan yang hak. (2) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi tujuh tahun atau didenda tidak melebihi satu ratus ribu ringgit atau kedua-duanya.
