Pawnbrokers Act 1972 s 31

s 31 Stolen property

(1) Information as to property lost, stolen or otherwise fraudulently disposed of shall be given by the police to the licencees as soon as possible after the loss or fraud has been reported, together with lists and description thereof. (2) If any property answering the lists and description is in the possession of any pawnbroker or is thereafter offered to or shown to any pawnbroker, he shall without unnecessary delay give information to that effect at the nearest police station or to any police officer, with the name and address of the person in whose possession the property was seen. (3) Any person who contravenes subsection (2) commits an offence.

Harta curi

(1) Maklumat mengenai harta yang telah hilang, kena curi atau selainnya dilupuskan dengan fraud hendaklah diberikan oleh polis kepada pemegang lesen dengan seberapa segera yang boleh selepas kehilangan atau fraud itu dilaporkan, bersama dengan senarai dan perihalnya. (2) Jika mana-mana harta yang menepati senarai dan perihal itu ada dalam milik mana-mana pemegang pajak gadai atau kemudiannya ditawarkan atau ditunjukkan kepada mana-mana pemegang pajak gadai, dia hendaklah tanpa kelengahan yang tidak perlu memberikan maklumat mengenainya di balai polis yang paling hampir atau kepada mana-mana pegawai polis, bersama dengan nama dan alamat orang yang dalam miliknya ada ternampak harta itu. (3) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (2) melakukan suatu kesalahan.
