s 421AB Power to require attendance of witnesses

(1) The State Director or Land Administrator making an investigation under section 421aa may by order in writing require the attendance before himself of any person who appears to him to be acquainted with the circumstances of the case, and such person shall attend as required. NOTES Provisions of the Modification Section 421a In its application to the Federal Territory of Labuan, insert after the words “Syariah Court” the words “and a Native Court”. —see P.U. (A) 454/2009 (2) If any such person fails to attend as so required, the State Director or Land Administrator, as the case may be, may report such failure to a Magistrate who may thereupon in his discretion issue a warrant to secure the attendance of such person as required by such order aforesaid. (3) A person attending as required under subsection (1) shall be entitled to be paid the reasonable travelling and subsistence expenses incurred by him; and it shall be lawful for the State Director or Land Administrator to pay such expenses.
