s 9 Right of direct access
(1) A foreign representative is entitled to apply directly to the Court under this Act for the recognition of foreign proceedings or for any relief or assistance provided under this Act.
(2) A foreign representative may appear in person or may be represented by an advocate for the purposes of any application made under this Act.
(3) In this section, “advocate” means any person entitled to practice as an advocate or as a solicitor or as an advocate and solicitor under any law in any part of Malaysia.

Hak akses langsung
(1) Seseorang wakil asing berhak untuk memohon secara langsung kepada Mahkamah di bawah Akta ini bagi pengiktirafan prosiding asing atau bagi apa-apa relief atau bantuan yang diperuntukkan di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Seseorang wakil asing boleh hadir sendiri atau boleh diwakili oleh seorang peguam bela bagi maksud apa-apa permohonan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini.
(3) Dalam seksyen ini, “peguam bela” ertinya mana-mana orang yang berhak untuk menjalankan amalan sebagai peguam bela atau sebagai peguam cara atau sebagai peguam bela dan peguam cara di bawah mana-mana undang-undang di mana-mana bahagian di Malaysia.
