Section 1

SECTION 1. The Philippines shall have a Resident Commissioner to the United States, with the powers and duties prescribed in section seven, paragraph five of Public Act Numbered One hundred twenty-seven of the Congress of the United States, approved March twenty-four, nineteen hundred and thirty-four, together with such other duties as may be assigned to him by the President of the Philippines or may, by law, be prescribed by the National Assembly.
