SEC. 56. judge of the Municipal Court.—There shall be a municipal judge and assistant municipal judge for the city, who shall be appointed in the same manner and shall have as a general rule the same powers, duties and jurisdiction as justices and auxiliary justices of the peace; and in addition thereto, shall have the territorial jurisdiction over the entire police zone of the city. Any other official authorized by law to act as justice of the peace in the city shall have similar and concurrent jurisdiction with the municipal judge authorized in this section. All bonds, forfeitures, fines and fees imposed and collected, either by the municipal judge authorized in this section, or by any other officer authorized by law to act as justice of the peace within the city, shall accrue to the treasury.
