SEC. 2. The grantee shall have the right and privilege to install, lay and maintain on all streets, public thoroughfares, bridges and public places within the territory covered by this franchise, poles, wires, transformers, capacitors, overhead protective devices, poleline hardware and other equipment necessary for the safe distribution of electric current to the public. The grantee shall have the corresponding duty to restore to their original condition the public place or places so affected by such installation and/or construction.
