Commission Regulation (EC) No 840/2002 of 21 May 2002 adjusting certain compensatory agrimonetary aids granted in the United Kingdom and Sweden

Article 1

1. The third tranche of compensatory aid for Sweden provided for by Regulation (EC) No 801/2000 relating to aid whose operative event falls on 1 January 2000 shall be cancelled.

2. The third tranche of compensatory aid for Sweden provided for by Regulation (EC) No 801/2000 relating to aid whose operative event falls on 2 January 2000 shall be cancelled.

Article 2

1. The maximum amount of the second tranche of compensatory aid for the United Kingdom provided for by Regulation (EC) No 653/2001 relating to aid whose operative event falls on 31 December 2000 shall be multiplied by 0,4722.

2. The maximum amount of the second tranche of compensatory aid for the United Kingdom provided for by Regulation (EC) No 653/2001 relating to aid whose operative event falls on 1 January 2001 shall be multiplied by 0,3941.

Article 3

1. The maximum amount of the second tranche of compensatory aid for the United Kingdom provided for by Article 1 of Regulation (EC) No 654/2001 for the appreciable revaluation of the pound sterling in 2000 shall be multiplied by 0,7090.

2. The maximum amount of the second tranche of compensatory aid for Sweden provided for by Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No 654/2001 for the appreciable revaluation of the Swedish krona in 2000 shall be cancelled.

Article 4

This Regulation shall enter into force on the seventh day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
