Article 1
The goods described in column (1) of the table set out in the Annex shall be classified within the Combined Nomenclature under the CN code indicated in column (2) of that table.

The goods described in column (1) of the table set out in the Annex shall be classified within the Combined Nomenclature under the CN code indicated in column (2) of that table.
Binding tariff information issued by the customs authorities of Member States, which is not in accordance with this Regulation, can continue to be invoked for a period of three months under Article 12(6) of Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
ANNEX Description of the goods Classification (CN code) Reasons (1) (2) (3) A screw made of stainless steel, measuring approximately 2 cm. The head of the screw comprises a recessed socket drive. The shank has a partial thread of a regular form. The pointed tip has a notch and it is not bifurcated. The article is designed for use in wood and wood panels. ( *1 ) See image. 7318 12 10 Classification is determined by General Rules 1 and 6 for the interpretation of the Combined Nomenclature and by the wording of CN codes 7318 , 7318 12 and 7318 12 10 . Given its characteristics (partially threaded shank, notch at the end of the pointed tip and no bifurcation), the article is specifically designed to bite its way into wood. The article is therefore considered to be a wood screw falling under subheading 7318 12 . The article is therefore to be classified under CN code 7318 12 10 as a wood screw of stainless steel.
