Article 33

The Director shall perform the duties of authorising officer. He/she shall implement the revenue and expenditure of the budget in accordance with the Europol Financial Rules, on his/her own responsibility and within the limits of the appropriations authorised. Without prejudice to the responsibilities of the authorising officer as regards prevention and detection of fraud and irregularities, Europol shall participate in fraud prevention activities of the European Anti-fraud Office.
