Penalties
Article 47
Member States shall lay down rules on penalties applicable to infringements by economic operators of the provisions of national law adopted pursuant to this Directive and shall take all measures necessary to ensure that they are implemented. Such rules may include criminal penalties for serious infringements. The penalties referred to in the first paragraph shall be effective, proportionate and dissuasive.
