Article 12
Member States may require the payment of fees for the handling of applications in accordance with this Directive. The level of fees imposed by a Member State for the processing of applications shall not be disproportionate or excessive. Where Member States issue national residence permits for the purpose of highly qualified employment, they shall not require EU Blue Card applicants to pay higher fees than those imposed on applicants for national permits.
