s 55 Authentication of notices and other documents
(1) Subject to subsection (2), every notice, requisition or other document issued, served or given for the purposes of this Act by the Director General or an authorized officer shall be sufficiently authenticated if the name and office of the Director General, the Director of Inland Revenue, Sabah or the Director of Inland Revenue, Sarawak, is printed, stamped or otherwise written thereon.
(2) Where this Act provides for a notice, requisition, certificate or other document to be under the hand of any officer, the notice, requisition, certificate or document shall be signed in manuscript by that officer.
(3) A notice, requisition, certificate or other document issued, made, served or given for the purposes of this Act and purporting to be signed in manuscript by the Director General or an authorized officer shall be presumed, until the contrary is proved, to have been so signed.

Pengesahan notis dan dokumen lain
(1) Tertakluk pada subseksyen (2), tiap-tiap notis atau dokumen lain yang dikeluarkan, disampaikan atau diberi bagi maksud Akta ini oleh Ketua Pengarah atau seseorang pegawai yang diberi kuasa disahkan dengan cukupnya jika nama pejabat Ketua Pengarah dicetak, dicap atau secara lain ditulis di atasnya.
(2) Jika Akta ini memperuntukkan supaya sesuatu notis, perakuan atau dokumen lain ditandatangani oleh seseorang pegawai, notis, perakuan atau dokumen itu hendaklah ditandatangani dalam manuskrip oleh pegawai itu.
(3) Sesuatu notis, perakuan atau dokumen lain yang dikeluarkan, dibuat, disampaikan atau diberi bagi maksud Akta ini dan yang berupa sebagai ditandatangani dalam manuskrip oleh Ketua Pengarah atau seseorang pegawai yang diberi kuasa hendaklah dianggap, sehingga akasnya dibuktikan, sebagai telah ditandatangani sedemikian.
