Local Government Act 1976 s 23
Sections 85–93 were repealed by later amendments.
All meetings of the local authority shall be open to the public and to representatives of the Press unless the local authority by resolution at the meeting otherwise decides: Provided that this section shall not apply to any Committee of the local authority unless such Committee by resolution otherwise decides.
Mesyuarat pihak berkuasa tempatan hendaklah terbuka kepada orang ramai
Semua mesyuarat pihak berkuasa tempatan hendaklah terbuka kepada orang ramai dan kepada wakil akhbar melainkan jika selainnya diputuskan oleh pihak berkuasa tempatan itu dengan ketetapan dalam mesyuarat itu: Dengan syarat bahawa seksyen ini tidak boleh dipakai bagi mana-mana Jawatankuasa pihak berkuasa tempatan itu melainkan jika selainnya diputuskan oleh Jawatankuasa itu dengan ketetapan.
