s 6 Succession of rights, liabilities and obligations

All rights, liabilities and obligations relating to any matter which immediately before the establishment of the local authority under section 3 or merger of the local authorities under section 5 were the responsibility of the Local Council, Town Board, Town Council, District Council, Rural Board, Municipal Council, City Council or Board of Management, as the case may be, shall upon such establishment or merger devolve upon the local authority and in any legal proceedings pending on the date of the establishment or merger there shall be made such substitution of one party for another as may be necessary to take account of any transfer of the rights, liabilities or obligations as aforesaid; and for the removal of any doubt it is hereby declared that all officers and servants of the Local Council, Town Board, Town Council, District Council, Rural Board, Municipal Council, City Council or Board of Management, as the case may be, shall upon such establishment or merger become officers and servants of the local authority.

Pewarisan hak, tanggungan, dan kewajipan

Segala hak, tanggungan dan kewajipan berhubungan dengan apa-apa perkara yang sebelum sahaja penubuhan pihak berkuasa tempatan di bawah seksyen 3 atau percantuman pihak berkuasa tempatan di bawah seksyen 5 adalah tanggungjawab Majlis Tempatan, Lembaga Bandaran, Majlis Bandaran, Majlis Daerah, Lembaga Luar Bandar, Majlis Perbandaran, Majlis Bandar Raya atau Lembaga Pengurusan, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, hendaklah, selepas penubuhan atau percantuman itu, berpindah kepada pihak berkuasa tempatan itu dan dalam apa-apa tindakan undang-undang yang belum selesai pada tarikh penubuhan atau percantuman itu hendaklah diganti satu pihak dengan suatu pihak lain sebagaimana yang perlu memandang kepada apa-apa pemindahan hak, tanggungan atau kewajipan yang tersebut di atas; dan bagi menghapuskan apaapa keraguan, adalah dengan ini dinyatakan bahawa semua pegawai dan pekhidmat Majlis Tempatan, Lembaga Bandaran, Majlis Bandaran, Majlis Daerah, Lembaga Luarbandar, Majlis Perbandaran, Majlis Bandaraya atau Lembaga Pengurusan, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, hendaklah, selepas penubuhan atau percantuman itu, menjadi pegawai dan pekhidmat pihak berkuasa tempatan itu.
