Educational Institutions (Discipline) Act 1976 s 19
s 19 Sections 17 and 18 to prevail over Societies Act 1966 or relevant Co-operative Societies Ordinance
(1) Sections 17 and 18 shall apply in relation to a society registered under the Societies Act 1966 notwithstanding anything to
the contrary contained in that Act, and where there is any conflict between the provisions of the said sections and the said Act, the provisions of the said sections shall prevail.
(2) Section 18 shall apply in relation to a co-operative society notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the relevant one of the *Co-operative Societies Ordinances referred to in that section, and where there is any conflict between provisions of the the said section and the said relevant Ordinance, the provisions of the said section shall prevail.

Seksyen 17 dan 18 hendaklah mengatasi Akta Pertubuhan 1966 atau Ordinan Syarikat Kerjasama yang berkenaan
(1) Seksyen 17 dan 18 hendaklah terpakai berhubung dengan sesuatu persatuan yang didaftarkan di bawah Akta Pertubuhan 1966 walau apa pun yang berlawanan yang terkandung dalam Akta itu, dan jika ada apa-apa percanggahan di antara peruntukan seksyen tersebut dengan peruntukan Akta tersebut, maka peruntukan seksyen tersebut hendaklah dipakai.
(2) Seksyen 18 hendaklah terpakai berhubung dengan sesuatu syarikat kerjasama walau apa pun yang berlawanan yang terkandung dalam satu yang berkaitan daripada *Ordinan Syarikat Kerjasama yang tersebut dalam seksyen itu, dan jika ada apa-apa percanggahan di antara peruntukan seksyen tersebut dengan peruntukan Ordinan yang berkenaan yang tersebut, maka peruntukan seksyen tersebut hendaklah dipakai.
