s 24 Grant of retiring allowance to temporary officer
On the retirement under section 10, 11 or 12 of a temporary officer who continues to serve under the New Scheme, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may grant a retiring allowance and gratuity equivalent to three-quarters of the pension and gratuity respectively normally payable to a pensionable officer who retires under the same circumstances under the Act if the temporary officer—
(a) was continually in service with the Federal Government or a State Government prior to the 1 January 1976 and up to the date of his retirement after the 1 January 1976;
(b) has completed a period of not less than ten years’ reckonable service with the Federal Government or a State Government; and
(c) was on the date of his appointment not liable to contribute to the Employees Provident Fund or other provident fund.

Pemberian elaun bersara kepada pegawai sementara
Apabila seseorang pegawai sementara yang terus berkhidmat di bawah Skim Baru bersara di bawah seksyen 10, 11 atau 12, Yang di-Pertuan Agong boleh memberi elaun bersara dan ganjaran yang banyaknya sama dengan tiga per empat daripada pencen dan ganjaran yang masing-masingnya lazim kena dibayar kepada seseorang pegawai berpencen yang bersara di bawah hal keadaan yang sama di bawah Akta ini jika pegawai sementara itu—
(a) telah berkhidmat terus-menerus dengan Kerajaan Persekutuan atau sesuatu Kerajaan Negeri sebelum daripada 1 Januari 1976 dan sehingga tarikh persaraanya selepas 1 Januari 1976;
(b) telah genap tempoh selama tidak kurang daripada sepuluh tahun perkhidmatan yang boleh dimasuk kira dengan Kerajaan Persekutuan atau sesuatu Kerajaan Negeri; dan
(c) telah pada tarikh perlantikannya tidak kena membayar carum kepada Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja atau lain-lain kumpulan wang simpanan.
