Private Employment Agencies Act 1981 s 19
Sections 15–17 and 24–25 were repealed by later amendments.
s 19 Preparation, maintenance and keeping of records
(1) Every private employment agency shall prepare, maintain and keep records as determined by the Director General as follows:
(a) records of registration of job seekers;
(b) records of registration of employers;
(c) records of vacancies of employment;
(d) records of placement of job seekers and for non-citizen employees;
(e) records of fees collected; and
(f) any other records as may be required by the Director General.
(2) A private employment agency shall keep the records for a period of not less than six years from the date after it is recorded.
(3) A private employment agency shall submit all the records under subsection (1) if the Director General, by written direction, requires the private employment agency to submit such records.
(4) A private employment agency which contravenes subsection (1), (2) or (3) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit.

Penyediaan, penyenggaraan dan penyimpanan rekod
(1) Tiap-tiap agensi pekerjaan swasta hendaklah menyedia, menyenggara dan menyimpan rekod sebagaimana yang ditentukan oleh Ketua Pengarah seperti yang berikut:
(a) rekod pendaftaran pencari kerja;
(b) rekod pendaftaran majikan;
(c) rekod mengenai kekosongan pekerjaan;
(d) rekod penempatan pencari kerja dan pekerja bukan warganegara;
(e) rekod fi yang dipungut; dan
(f) apa-apa rekod lain sebagaimana yang dikehendaki oleh Ketua Pengarah.
(2) Agensi pekerjaan swasta hendaklah menyimpan rekod bagi tempoh tidak kurang dari enam tahun dari tarikh perekodan.
(3) Agensi pekerjaan swasta hendaklah mengemukakan semua rekod di bawah subseksyen (1) jika Ketua Pengarah, melalui arahan bertulis, menghendaki agensi pekerjaan swasta supaya mengemukakan rekod itu.
(4) Agensi pekerjaan swasta yang melanggar subseksyen (1),
(2) atau (3) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi dua puluh ribu ringgit.
