Private Employment Agencies Act 1981 s 4

s 4 Functions and powers of the Director General
(1) The Director General shall have the following functions:
(a) to administer and regulate all matters relating to the licensing of a private employment agency;
(b) to regulate all matters relating to the recruiting activity carried on by a private employment agency including issuing a written direction;
(c) to collect, receive, utilize or forfeit money guarantee deposited by a private employment agency;
(d) to direct a private employment agency to submit any information and documents relating to the private employment agency and its activities;
(e) to require submission of any information by a private employment agency to assist the Director General in the performance of his functions; and
(f) to do anything incidental to any of his functions under this Act.
(2) The Director General shall have the powers to do all things necessary or expedient for or in connection with the performance of his functions under this Act.

Fungsi dan kuasa Ketua Pengarah
(1) Ketua Pengarah hendaklah mempunyai fungsi yang berikut:
(a) untuk mentadbir dan mengawal selia semua perkara yang berhubungan dengan pelesenan bagi agensi pekerjaan swasta;
(b) untuk mengawal selia semua perkara yang berhubungan dengan aktiviti merekrut yang dijalankan oleh agensi pekerjaan swasta termasuk mengeluarkan arahan bertulis;
(c) untuk mengutip, menerima, mengguna atau merampas wang jaminan yang didepositkan oleh agensi pekerjaan swasta;
(d) untuk mengarahkan agensi pekerjaan swasta untuk mengemukakan apa-apa maklumat dan dokumen yang berhubungan dengan agensi pekerjaan swasta dan aktivitinya;
(e) untuk menghendaki agensi pekerjaan swasta mengemukakan apa-apa maklumat untuk membantu Ketua Pengarah bagi pelaksanaan fungsinya; dan
(f) untuk melakukan apa-apa perkara bersampingan dengan apa-apa fungsinya di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Ketua Pengarah hendaklah mempunyai kuasa untuk melakukan semua perkara yang perlu atau suai manfaat bagi atau yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini.
