(1) After the expiry of the period afforded for making objections to or representations in respect of a draft local plan or, if such objections or representations have been duly made during that period after considering the objections or representations, the Commissioner may with the approval of the Minister, subject to subsection (2) adopt the plan either as originally prepared or as modified so as to take account of the objections or representations or for any matters arising there from, and thereupon the plan shall come into effect.
(2) The Commissioner shall cause the fact of his adoption of a draft local plan to be published in the Gazette and in such local newspapers as the Commissioner may determine, and of the place where the copies of such plan may be inspected and where copies may be purchased on payment of the prescribed fee.

Penerimaan draf pelan tempatan
(1) Selepas tamat tempoh yang diberikan untuk membuat bantahan terhadap atau representasi berkenaan dengan draf pelan tempatan atau, jika bantahan dan representasi itu telah dibuat dengan sewajarnya dalam tempoh itu selepas menimbangkan bantahan atau representasi itu, Datuk Bandar dengan kelulusan Menteri boleh, tertakluk kepada subseksyen (2) menerima pelan itu sama ada sebagaimana disediakan pada mulanya atau sebagaimana diubahsuaikan dengan tujuan untuk mengambil kira bantahan dan representasi itu atau apa-apa perkara yang berbangkit daripadanya, dan dengan itu pelan tersebut hendaklah berkuat kuasa.
(2) Datuk Bandar hendaklah menyebabkan fakta penerimaannya mengenai suatu draf pelan tempatan disiarkan dalam Warta dan dalam akhbar tempatan sebagaimana yang ditentukan oleh Datuk Bandar, dan tempat atau tempat-tempat di mana salinan pelan itu boleh diperiksa dan di mana salinan itu boleh dibeli dengan membayar fi yang ditetapkan.
