s 37 Replacement of trees
(1) If any tree in respect of which a tree preservation order is for the time being in force is removed or destroyed in contravention of the order or is removed or destroyed or dies, it shall be the duty of the owner of the land, unless on his application the Commissioner dispenses with this requirement, to plant another tree of an appropriate size and species at the same place as he reasonably can.
(2) The duty imposed by subsection (1) on the owner of the land shall attach to the person who is from time to time the owner of the land and may be enforced as provided.

Penggantian pokok
(1) Jika sesuatu pokok yang berkenaan dengannya sesuatu perintah pemeliharaan pokok adalah pada masa itu berkuat kuasa, diubah atau dibinasakan dan melanggar perintah itu atau diubah atau dibinasakan atau mati, maka adalah menjadi kewajipan pemunya tanah itu, melainkan jika atas permohonannya Datuk Bandar mengecualikan kehendak ini, untuk menanam pokok lain dari saiz dan jenis yang sesuai di tempat yang sama sebagaimana semunasabah yang boleh.
(2) Kewajipan yang dikenakan oleh subseksyen (1) kepada pemunya tanah hendaklah dikenakan kepada orang yang dari semasa ke semasa adalah pemunya tanah itu dan boleh dikuatkuasakan sebagaimana yang diperuntukkan.
