s 18 Compulsory notification of drug dependants
(1) It shall be the duty of a registered medical practitioner, including a government medical officer, to notify the Director General of any person who is treated by him for drug dependency in accordance with rules made under this Act.
(2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding* two thousand ringgit.

Pemberitahuan wajib mengenai penagih dadah
(1) Adalah menjadi kewajipan pengamal perubatan berdaftar, termasuk pegawai perubatan kerajaan, untuk memberitahu Ketua Pengarah mengenai mana-mana orang yang dirawat olehnya kerana ketagihan dadah mengikut kaedah-kaedah yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini.
(2) Mana-mana orang yang melanggari peruntukan seksyen ini melakukan suatu kesalahan dan, apabila disabitkan, boleh didenda tidak lebih daripada *dua ribu ringgit.
