s 5 Advancing or furnishing money for establishing or conducting

Any person who advances or furnishes money for the purpose of establishing or conducting the business of a common gaming house or for the purpose of a public lottery or who profits from the establishment or conduct of such business shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a *fine of not less than five thousand ringgit and not more than fifty thousand ringgit and shall also be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years.

Mendahulukan atau memberikan wang bagi menubuhkan atau menjalankan urusan

Mana-mana orang yang mendahulukan atau memberikan wang bagi maksud menubuhkan atau menjalankan urusan sesuatu rumah perjudian terbuka atau bagi maksud sesuatu loteri awam atau yang mendapat keuntungan daripada penubuhan atau penjalanan urusan sedemikian melakukan sesuatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, *didenda tidak kurang daripada lima ribu ringgit dan tidak lebih daripada lima puluh ribu ringgit dan hendaklah juga dihukum dengan pemenjaraan bagi tempoh tidak melebihi tiga tahun.
