s 6 Gaming in common gaming house

(1) Any person who games in a common gaming house shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding **five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both. (2) A person found in a common gaming house or found escaping from a common gaming house on the occasion of its being entered under this Act shall be presumed until the contrary is proved to be or to have been gaming therein.

Berjudi dalam rumah perjudian terbuka

(1) Mana-mana orang yang berjudi dalam suatu rumah perjudian terbuka melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, **didenda tidak melebihi lima ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan bagi tempoh tidak melebihi enam bulan atau kedua-duanya. (2) Seseorang yang didapati dalam suatu rumah perjudian terbuka atau didapati melarikan diri dari suatu rumah perjudian terbuka apabila rumah itu dimasuki di bawah Akta ini hendaklah dianggap sehingga dibuktikan sebaliknya sebagai sedang atau telah berjudi di dalamnya. *CATATAN—Sebelum ini “dipenjarakan tidak melebihi dua tahun atau didenda tidak melebihi dua puluh ribu ringgit atau kedua-dua”–lihat Akta Perjudian Rumah Terbuka (Pindaan) 1990 [Akta A755]. **CATATAN—Sebelum ini “dua ribu ringgit”–lihat Akta Perjudian Rumah Terbuka (Pindaan) 1990 [Akta A755].
