s 36 Sessions Court and Court of Magistrate of First Class to have full jurisdiction and powers under this Act or applicable written law

(1) Notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, any offence committed under this Act or any applicable written law shall be deemed to have been committed in Malaysia for the purpose of conferring jurisdiction on a court to try that offence, and a Sessions Court or a Court of a Magistrate of the First Class shall each have full jurisdiction and powers for all purposes under this Act or such written law. (2) Subsection (1) shall not be construed as derogating in any way from the jurisdiction and powers of the High Court to try any offence under any written law. (3) Any proceedings in respect of an offence under this Act or any applicable written law shall be brought before the Sessions Court or the Court of a Magistrate of the First Class which is nearest the place where the offence was committed, or which is located in the most convenient place for trial in the circumstances of the case as determined by the Public Prosecutor. (4) This section shall be without prejudice to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code relating to the transfer of cases.

(1) Walau apa pun peruntukan mana-mana undang- Mahkamah undang bertulis yang berlawanan, mana-mana kesalahan Majistret yang dilakukan di bawah Akta ini atau mana-mana Kelas Satu undang-undang bertulis yang terpakai hendaklah mempunyai disifatkan telah dilakukan di Malaysia bagi maksud bidang kuasa dan memberi bidang kuasa kepada mahkamah untuk memkuasa penuh bicarakan kesalahan itu, dan suatu Mahkamah Sesyen Akta, atau atau Mahkamah Majistret Kelas Satu hendaklah memundangpunyai bidang kuasa dan kuasa penuh setiapnya bagi undang bertulis semua maksud di bawah Akta ini atau undang-undang bertulis tersebut. terpakai. (2) Subseksyen (1) tidaklah boleh ditafsirkan sebagai mengurangkan dengan apa-apa cara daripada bidang kuasa dan kuasa-kuasa Mahkamah Tinggi untuk membicarakan apa-apa kesalahan di bawah mana-mana undang-undang bertulis. (3) Apa-apa prosiding berkenaan dengan suatu kesalahan di bawah Akta ini atau mana-mana undangundang bertulis yang terpakai hendaklah dibawa ke hadapan Mahkamah Sesyen atau Mahkamah Majistret Kelas Satu yang berhampiran dengan tempat kesalahan dilakukan, atau yang terletak di tempat pembicaraan yang , paling mudah sampaı dalam hal keadaan kes, sebagaimana ditetapkan oleh Pendakwa Raya. (4) Seksyen ini hendaknya tidak menjejaskan peruntukan-peruntukan Kanun Prosedur Jenayah berhubungan dengan pemindahan kes-kes. Anggapan mengenai peta, pelan atau carta yang dibuat kuasa Kerajaan.
